Unsurprising but a shame. The show balanced heart and humor as well as any family sitcom on the air. Kyla Kenedy's Dylan gradually became a favorite character for me.

Speechless at least feels like they suspected an ending was coming and made the finale feel like an ending. I’d have been interesting to see them try to figure out a new status quo, but it’s a very good three-season show.

I was surprised at how hard I laughed at Opera Man’s return. It was well written and performed. The Rogen joke was also funny because it was a self-own by Sandler. He’s on a bit of a roll right now between this and his Netflix comedy special.

it’s fine that you want the show to be more scathingly political, dennis, but when was it ever? i’ve watched since the original cast & for the life of me, i can’t remember any really clever political sketches off the top of my head. chevy’s ford was clumsy, dan’s carter was weak, the bushes were clueless, clinton was

‘But SNL has a platform, and one that it’s courted, developed, and climbed to intermittent heights of ratings (and even critical) success. Basically, throwing in the towel when you’re in the position to most directly affect a sitting president (who you arguably helped elect) is cowardly. Or lazy. Or cynical. Anything

A long time ago I read an interview where Chris Rock talked about being fired from SNL, and the death of Farley (Farley was on a bender and called him a few times) he brought up that after being fired Sandler and Farley were the only ones to keep tabs and check up on him once in a while.

His movies vary erratically in quality but there doesn't seem to be any question that people like working with him

Perkins is under some sort of delusion that since Trump watches the show and angry-tweets about it, it means that the show needs to double-down on political stuff to... make him angrier? Like maybe there’s some endgame where Trump watches and has a moment of clarity where he goes “oh I’ve been acting crazy!” and

Why do you want more political humor?  SNL is not very good at it and everybody else is already doing it.

I’m not a huge Sandler fan but I loved this episode. His performance was hilarious, genuine and heart warming. The Sandler family reunion and the Italy tours were among my favorites, but I also loved Kyle & Beck’s ridiculous 80s hair band song. Kyle Mooney isn’t for everyone but I love what he brings to the table. And

Are we done with letter grades now? I know you got a lot of stick for all the B- grades...if so I don’t blame you... (never mind - I see that you added a B- later on)

“Ellie Kemper as Gloria Bunker” Nice.

I wish someone would piece together just a montage of all the customer interstitials.

And it gets better each season. They’ve done such a good job developing the supporting cast of characters. Love it.

The best sitcom on television, and it gets next to no attention because it’s not on cable or streaming.

This episode almost made me take a Xanax. It was insane! It’s easily the most gorgeous visuals in a single episode we’ve ever seen. The massive fight, the squads of shuttles and pods, the alien allies - everything added up to something that was such a blast to watch.

And I’ll happily watch any sketch that gives Melissa Villasenor time to shine.

I agree. I’ve always liked the character, but frankly, I didn’t want another white guy captain on a show which made a big deal out of its lead being a woman POC, and I absolutely *hated* Mount’s awful performance on Inhumans (even knowing that disaster wasn’t completely his fault), so I didn’t have high hopes...

There’s nothing “stealth” about Anson Mount’s MVP status this season. He’s been knocking everything he’s been given out of the park. He’s been able to sell everything that’s happened to his character without lapsing into goofiness or rote technobabble.

Also, mega cringe at “critics like me”.
