Ccomplete lack of irony and self awareness on the "access culture" thing in light of Liam Neeson. No wonder people prefer to give bland answers!

Keep gettin’ those clicks, boys!

It must be exhausting to be you all the time.

These reviews really mystify me. I’m completely captivated.

Is there a John Mayer song about Sue Heck? Maybe do a show about that song then.

At the risk of opening a can of worms, I feel like that’s what happened with reviews of Insatiable. The show has problems, but it isn’t what I’ve been reading about. And critics constantly compare it to shows it’s not even pretending it’s trying to be.

its a katie rife article what do you expect?

Yeah, but the protagonist at this point is driving to possibly murder someone based on no evidence at all, so her endorsement of him isn’t meant to be a positive thing

Now we’re just reverting back because people are just too fucking stupid to understand moral complexity or to be challenged in even the slightest way.

I haven’t seen this yet, but it seems unfair to me that someone with a rotten character flaw can’t also carry some good in them. Otherwise everyone’s just a stereotype, and that’s not particularly interesting.

Totally disagree. Rockwell’s character is ostracized by the other members of the police force because his bigotry and violence show him to be an unprofessional bad cop who is an embarrassment to everyone around him. His attempts at “redemption” are merely selfish acts to heal his own sense of self-worth and get him

I don’t think the billboard guy forgives the racist cop. He gives him some orange juice when they find themselves in the same hospital room, but a small act of kindness toward someone who’s wronged you isn’t necessarily forgiveness.

Agreed. There was no redemption for any character. All of this criticism doesn’t really resonate with me.

I don’t see the ending as a redemption for McDormand or Rockwell.

He gets fired and gets half his face burnt off. It’s not as though the film does not ‘punish’ him.

It’s a good film and well-acted. It has it’s own politics and never asks you to co-sign on them. Most cops are anti-black because it’s ingrained in the system, just like most cops are less inclined to believe in date rape. it is what it is.

People are dumb animals.

It really wasn’t, love it or hate it. Now, Mother!—that was batshit crazy.

Bitenuker and Hot Richard also made the shortlist.

I’ve heard they’re going to change the name of the album to “The Fun Cooker”
