*sigh* And I just uninstalled Bioshock. Welp, I’ll wait for the patch to come in.

I’m getting more of a Star Control vibe from it than XCOM.
C’mon man, original recipe all the way. They’re more fun when they’re soft.

Either’s fine. Boogers taste good and they build your resistance to icky germs.
Hah, this doesn’t apply to me because I bite my nails, too.
I’m sure this won’t ever be taken down, but what about updates?
I was going to rant about how this steals from Zettai Hero Project: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman, but I then see that this is from the people who brought us that game in the first place.
What I read was: “I really wish I could be Hideo Kojima.”
I never finished MUA and could never find it again wherever I looked, digital or physical. Thanks Marvel!
Okay, one more reason to hold off on buying Overwatch then. When all the issues are smoothed out and this goes on sale, you can bet it’s an insta-buy for me. Not now, though.
Yeah, sure, I get that too. But not everyone can stay glued to Steam 24/7 waiting for the next big sale.
Fair enough. I interpreted your statement as “this is not Norse, let’s put in some totally-not-Norse to make it seem more authentically Norse”. My issue with that was that pop-culture Norse references may not really represent real Norse culture, but as you said it’s not what you’re calling for. I can agree with your…
I’m saying that it’s kind of nonsensical to say “this made-up stuff is nonsense” and then suggest some other equally made-up nonsense (pop culture Norse civilization) to take its place.
A significant amount was just made-the-fuck-up “mythology”. Point is, if you’re only looking for the pop-culture version of Norse mythology then you’re no better than the devs that you’re criticizing, because you don’t want an accurate version of Norse mythology either.
The fact that your basis is “Norse culture or civilization we all know and love from pop culture” kind of kills the argument, don’t you think? As if anything you see in pop culture is even remotely representative of their real world source material.
Fuck this, just remake Bridge Commander already, dammit!
Is it weird that I heard the Blue Danube Waltz in my head while watching this?
A couple of months ago. It’s come a long way from before, but I always felt that it lacked polish. That doesn’t really detract from the overall quality of the game, but when I have something much better in those terms then I’m inclined to pick the better game.
Basically this. I’ve never been so eager to shovel money down a developer’s throat than now. And this is coming from a cheapo who almost never buys games at full price. The marketing is just that good.
