What the hell do you people want from Doom? People moaned when it was said it was too much like Call of Duty and less Doom. now it’s more Doom and people are moaning it looks too “brown” or “generic”

It is only clarification if what you are saying is true. The fact is, none of you know what is true and what isn’t. Who knows, maybe what the reddit user said is true? Maybe what you said is true? It doesn’t matter though. You can’t add clarification on something that neither of you can say for 100% as true other than

Thats the thing though. It doesn’t matter because you are still in the same boat as this one random reddit user said. None of you know what is true and what isn’t. Both of you are just spinning the rumor mill and both looking foolish for it. The fact that Kotaku had to write a vilification piece to bash one random

Except for the prediction that it would be announced in June 2015.

11 months is a long time for development. What she might have gotten right 11 months ago may no longer be true today. Maybe 11 months ago they planned on a previous gen release. Maybe now they won’t. We’ll never know for sure what’s right and wrong. All I know is if it is bullshit she sure got an impressive amount of

Not saying that this SandraReed character is or isn’t bullshit, but to play devil’s advocate here, she didn’t claim to leak anything to you guys. She claims she accidentally leaked info that wound up in your hands... so who was your source? And where did your source get their information? Your assertion that the

Yep. When you are modeling EVERYTHING, there is only so much you can do. The graphics never bothered me on these games. The story and being able to do whatever I wanted in them more than made up for them.

If notifications are your big gripe, its not going to dissuade me from getting it. So far this looks like a bigger badder RAGE, a game I absolutely loved. I’d still be playing it if it werent for the fact it crashes constantly from the DLC and they never patched it *360*.

Agreed that it’s a dick move, but I disagree that it’s not an investment.

Investments carry the expectation (the hope, rather) of a dividend.

In this case, the dividend is the product rather than a financial gain.

A preorder requires that a more-or-less preexisting product be available for said preorder; when you

I disagree quite a lot with your opinions when it comes to the Quicksilver vs Hawkeye death thing.

It’s true. The first step is the hardest. But if you can find your way into the office of a helpful person, then great things can sometimes follow from that. Try not to think too far into the future—just find a good person and go to the appointment.

I do it too and shop at ALDI. I live in the DC metro area. About 60% of my diet is vegetarian so I don’t spend outrageous amounts on meat. Meat is mostly chicken or cheap seafood. I also bake my own snacks like cookies, brownies, and cakes so not much is spent on that.

oh! that's another thing, I also want the ability to record gameplay footage with Steam.

I want the ability to stream gameplay from Steam to Twitch like With Origin. I also want to be able to record gameplay footage with Steam.

We did, you're just a horrible person.

First of all, it's not a copyright law issue. It's a trademark issue.

This. It's not like they want to spend money or make themselves to be the bad guy in this situation but for whatever dumb reason on the planet if you don't defend the name you use in your product, some dirtbag or dirtbags can come along and use it because you didn't defend it against this one guy and that's enough in

They have to do this stupid shit because that's how copyrights work in the US. The US patent and copyright laws force companies to defend themselves for even unimportant stuff like this because if they don't, it opens the door for other companies to use a name, maybe even more similar than what they are attacking.

As dumb as this is, as dumb as it was with "Scrolls," as dumb as it is when other companies do it "King and "Saga," anyone?), the core issue is a messed-up copyright system that basically requires companies to do stupid stuff like this or risk losing protections.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh, finding it so hard to care.
