He controls ELECTROmagnetism, the fundamental force that keeps all matter together. Meaning he can manipulate the electromagnetic forces of molecules which would allow him to effect both ferrous and non ferrous materials.

It’d be interesting for episode XIII and IX to deal with the concept of a anti-heroic dark side user or users. The Sith seem to be inherently evil, but the dark side is just about embracing passion and emotion which can be good and bad.
