I know I'll sound like a huge dick right now, but to be honest, it kind of saddens me how Sword Art Online is seen as a good anime by so many people.

SAOII was good (and by good I mean horrible at first, then finished out alright), but looking at it as a whole, I can't say with a serious expression on my face that it was one of the best of 2014 just because the ending was a bit emotional. I guess if your palette is small and you aren't familiar with much else, it

Lost my shit at the sock gun and teapot Aladdin's lamp.

you can watch it through the YouTube app on ps4. Nice clickbait though, you and the kotaku gang are unrivalled in that regard

And here I am, literally the only person left on earth without a 3DS. :(
Do you guys know what it's like to live in the stone age? DO YOU?

1) Budget means you have a sound team and an art team and a programming team and a design team and an effects team and a test team and a production team. Student means that you may have one person being sound and level design, on person being art and animation, one person doing production and programming. Throwing

"Dude addressed my particular comments and concerns, but didn't broaden his comments. He must not know a thing". C'mon dude.

"The difference between a student programmer and a professional programmer at this level is whether or not they're getting paid."

"The difference between a student programmer and a professional programmer at this level is whether or not they're getting paid. That's it:"

-You misunderstood what I meant. I didn't mean visually, I meant it from a technical point. It's chock full of bugs, and if you want to argue about this, you can take part in the numerous discussions about just how bad of an experience people are coming across somewhere else. Visually, it's gorgeous. You know what I

What's bizarre to me is that you're comfortable comparing underclass student work to that of a AAA production studio. The individual talents of any one person do not make the product as a whole. I currently work at a start up company that is absolutely packed with talent. However, our budget is in the 300K range.

Looks like you went a little too far on that limb. Seems I need to elaborate for you since you ironically seem to think I have no idea what I'm talking about.

-I didn't say a budget didn't include man hours, or that it was some magical entity that creates games. It seems you're unable to see that it's implied, and have

Triple A developers have massive budgets, professional programmers galore, and yet we see hideous things like ACU. No, there are no first timers who are still learning how to code being lead programmers on big budget titles and no, nobody assumes they are seasoned vets... Typically, companies put people who have years

The facial model/character animation(towards the end), and walking speed are the only things that are a bit jarring for me, and that's only if I was being very critical! Holy shit this is gorgeous for student work! Really impressed by their lighting work as well.

Indeed. There is so much good that can be done, like putting others down on an online blog while preaching about how not to waste time. You are doing God's work, my son.

Having a life means doing things you enjoy.

Lol, welcome to online Journalism, friend.

Seems dishonest to explain every single thing in the video. The creator won't actually get the attention and you still get the click. I don't mind seeing some rough bullet points, or a general overview, but to write every single thing and in detail is reaping the rewards of someone else doing all the heavy lifting.
