These games have an incredible amount of depth in their story, it just isn't explicitly explained to you. You have to do the research and finding of the story yourself, which to some including myself is a much more rewarding experience. Check out EpicNameBro's lore series of YouTube videos if you are interested.
You say that like its a bad thing. Dark Souls with tweaks to the negative sides and slight embellishments to the positive sides would still be an amazing game. You don't really let graphics get that far in the way do you?
Right - a lot of people wonder why he took so little damage when hit (but still easily died). I say you could take one look at his friggin Health and Stamina bars that are halfway across the screen and know why.
I think having everything sped up makes it look like things have less weight to them as well.
I remember saving and quitting after every bad shot in Mario Golf for the Gameboy Color, since if I remember right it started you at the previous shot or at the start of the hole.

TB gets respect from me for recognizing something that needed a closer look (and listen) and making sure to highlight it with some great footage even if its not something he normally does. This video is the best footage I have seen of the game.
This is a must-see. It was nice of TB to go out of his way to get great footage of it.
I watched the non-commentated demo playthrough from TB and that's actually a good word for it. Between Logan Cunningham's commentary, the visual style, and the music design, its got that smoothness to it like if you pictured a smoky club from a noire film.
I should have known this was coming when I saw an ad for the review before I clicked on the review.
Agreed. Slideshows are almost as shady as exclusive reviews.
