What do you mean? Taking out all those guys without killing them was one of the most fun parts of the non-lethal playthrough. It took me a handful of tries, sure, but only becuase there was an issue with one soldier who was hell-bent on suicide. He would always shoot the explosive barrel next to him no matter where…

The bell you are looking for is located in Blighttown. To get there you can either go back to the bridge with the dragon and unlock the door with the basement key - traversing the lower section of the Undead Burg as well as the Depths - to get there.

I got the same feeling about consoles petering out and PC gaming looking better if only by comparison as some of these guys did (although Romero may be a bit biased).
You missed all the Dishonored throat gore.
Anything Cagey is funny to some extent.
Zombie Master, a mod for Half Life 2, did the same thing where one player controlled and spawned zombies and traps RTS style while the other players as humans just tried to survive and complete objectives FPS style.
I'm seconding this. It captured it all pretty damn well.
Its a very big game, and while some areas are more expansive than others there are a lot of them and some are gigantic. You have a long ways to go. It is difficult to put progress on a linear line since there is little linearity and some zones are optional.
