Silverado had a collision and shut itself off. The occupants fled a visibly inoperable vehicle. Then a dumbfuck semi literally plowed into the back of them.

I mean, Ford wanted a Wrangler competitor. Significant recalls really give you that FCA experience.

Automatic engine cutoffs. If a collision is enough to set off the airbags, then the vehicle automatically kills the engine to prevent fire and fuel spillage. Unless they were gonna get out and push, and I would not be doing that on an active freeway, that truck was going nowhere.

Evidently yes the motor does shut down in more modern vehicles.

Not only the stock seats, but really any other Miata seat rail. If I drop the floor, I can get one of a couple seats specifically designed for that setup. But if I sell the car, someone else can enjoy it as it sits (with the FANTASTIC seats, that I’m gonna miss) and I can get something I fit better in. Everyone wins,…
