Reportedly Carlos Ghosn was able to flee Japan by sneaking out inside an instrument case, so that was presumably the context.

The swoops have been with us (or at least SEEM to) for the past 20 years and I see no reason the manufacturers would ever change, now that they have a characteristic look. I think the RV industry is satisfied with this, and don’t want to rock the boat or make anything that tries to chase more modern design but will…
I don’t really care about the looks. Ugly is fine.
No, the Plus Four was first produced in 1950.
I love it! Didn’t realize the Superb nameplate dated to 1934.
Hey, if it makes production I wonder if it will be the oldest nameplate still used in a production car.
Yeah I could never get used to the death of Plymouth either.
Funnily enough, I haven’t driven anything equipped with a B-W 35, but as that was designed during the Eisenhower administration and went out of production 40 years ago, I’d sure have low expectations compared to a modern city car designed by Daimler.
I love small cars, but Smart cars are dreadful to drive (worst transmission ever), don’t get nearly good enough fuel economy for their size, and were incredibly impractical. Wrong hill to die on.
Does it really go 950 mph like Joe Isuzu said?
Congrats on your first car. It’s a lot more luxurious than my first. :)
Nothing special. My 2019 highlight was fixing the various mechanical issues on my wife’s 2005 Civic (brakes, wheel bearings, ball joints) and beating a path to the best cash offer. Then buying her a new car which is much easier for her to drive with her disability (higher ride, more driver aids, bigger and safer).
Looks purdy- Both your project and your new car.
Delightful take, thanks.
David, Raph, please buy this van to prove the naysayers wrong.
What kind of Ubers are you getting into? Most of them I’ve been in are very clean and have no obvious problems.
That’s pretty sweet. Coincidentally, I’ve seen a ‘64 Olds 98 sedan on CL in my area for a fairly appealing price:
We’re discussing the cultural origins of muscle cars. What the hell is wrong with you?
Kowalski isn’t going to deliver a Dodge Challenger by 3pm Saturday if he has to charge it up at supercharger stations. He needs to pay cash, splash and dash in 5 minutes. Maybe make a detour through the desert.
