Legit, the big city is expensive. But once I’m not sending 50% of my paycheck to cc debt, I’ll be doing pretty fantastic.

I’m torn on this advice.

My sleep habits have also fallen off the deep end. Last week it included long after work naps, but this week I’ve exchanged them for even more video game time.

Better option: Ikea’s milk frother. Costs $3 and makes frothy and perfectly mixed chocolate milk.

Thanks for the validation about what constitutes a normal amount of butter. My frozen butter stock is at their lowest point ever and it’s giving me way too much anxiety.

This! I spent most of my teens and early 20s with undiagnosed bulimia. It never occurred to me that as a male I could be dealing with an eating disorder, and my doctor at the time just thought I had a reflux issue. It wasn’t until I started working with a therapist on my anxiety that we pieced it all together.

I love matzah for the 8 days that I’m required to eat it and then I don’t want to see it in my kitchen until the next year.

Thank you for the reminder. I try to log in and feed my Neopets at least every other year. My beloved Mophead36 (which is obviously a JubJub) is very happy to see me.

I love hamantaschen and will defend the ones made by my temple’s Sisterhood to the death. If I’ve been a good son this year my mother will ship me a dozen or two if I ask nicely (as one of the bakers, she tends to hate them by the end of the baking spree).

LW2's partner should also look into if their school will award them a Masters degree for the work they’ve completed. Most schools will award a masters if the student passed their quals, but doesn’t want to finish the full PhD.

This reminds me of “left nut, right nut” but somehow made way worse.

Clotted cream is wonderful and fresh clotted cream might be one of the best things in the world...but if you’re looking for something that is almost-like, but entirely not clotted cream, pop open a can of media crema. It scratches that itch at a much cheaper price.

Thanks for the validation. I keep a lemon stash both at home and in the office.

I use scissors to roughly cut them while they’re still in the can. It makes squishing them with your spoon/spatula much easier once their in the pot.

I have better things to do, but I’m also going to start writing letters to editors just for fun.

Yeah, the recommendations don’t seem to be particularly actionable. I was recommended to take one less 300+ mile round-trip flight a year. I only take 1 long round-trip a year to see my family that lives on the other side of the country. I don’t think my mother would take being told I can’t visit her because of my

I’m all about Costco-quantities of paper towels and toilet paper. Also cheese because in my household there is an inverse relationship between the size of cheese and how long it takes to eat.

If you live in a small city or town, don’t assume mass transit won’t work for your commute! I guarantee there are many people in your area already reliant on mass transit to get to work, and more riders can translate into better service. Keep in mind that even if your commute is a bit longer via mass transit, you can

Should we submit a new W-4 even if we’re not starting a new job? I’ve messed with my allowances in the past to get my tax refund as close to zero as possible and I’d like to continue doing so.

I like this idea, but I live in a shoebox apartment and no table is farther than ~6 feet from my kitchen. It’s easier for me to just build the charcuterie board in place and then glare at my friends when they move it because it’s on the one table that can fit a board game....
