Those are SKU numbers. For example if a game comes in a single platform in a single region with 2 SKUs (i.e. original release + greatest hits) that's 2. Count the multiplatforms (i.e. 360, PS3) and that becomes 4. Add 3 regions and it becomes 12.

LOL, the Pokemon one wins.

That's definitely nice, if not slightly low res.

Is it only me or is that pic too creepy?

I guess nothing lasts forever. Seems like half a day's work extended in 10 years.

@Noks415: I actually think it's too early. If Wii is any indication, motion control technology is not there yet. We'll see if WM+ changes anything. Then again, we should first discuss whether the motion controls are necessary at all.

The worse the Wii sales are, the better off everybody but Nintendo is.

@JohnLock: Also online. Look what happened at AOL, the worst ISP ever. If all teens and preteens are on it, they will force their peers to be on it too. All the cool kids are doing it. And by kids, I literally mean just that.

Even though it's cool to hate on Gamestop, I think we still need a specialized store like it for all game related goodies. Competition is good for the consumer. I don't trust any corporation to do a better job if they replaced Gamestop's business model (i.e. used game sales at Bestbuy = most likely fail).

I honestly don't. Nothing on Wii has convinced me that motion controls are better than dual analog ones, just different. While Wiimote controls in appearance seem to work good for shooters, I got tired pretty soon in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. If there is anything that I like about the Wii controls, is that the

I don't see myself buying a new console until 2014-15, with the exception of a HD Wii successor. The graphics are fine as they are and I am terrified at the possibility of all next gen consoles having motion controls. There are a lot more good games than I have time to play as it is, so I'll just keep playing them on

That pic is hilarious. As for the article, 65 enemies is a good number for a Wii game, as long as enemies aren't just background animations and you can actually interact with them. I can see this being easily done if it's just 4-5 polygons / enemy.

The sequels that I would like are:

@Archaotic: @benihime: Thanks for clarifying that. This is what I was thinking too, just wanted to make sure.

@FeaturePreacher: Actually, multiplayer is not important. I am sick of many games sacrificing what could be a solid and great single player for some sort of multiplayer mode just to fill a bullet point on the back of the box.

@Mezodon: I don't think GameStop should be held accountable for their resell prices. If you let your games go for that cheap, it's your own fault. See, your game now has a new owner which can do whatever he wants with them. Your argument is no better than that of a publisher claiming shares on 2nd hand sales.

I'm really digging P.M.'s face.

Can someone clarify whether Monster Hunter G is the expected Monster Hunter 3 or some other version (the first one perhaps)? Thanks.

I, for one, am glad to see PS3 sales pick up and Wii sales go down.

Hmmm, say ex-Ratchet & Clank developers are on the team? This game is now officially on my radar.
