I think Phil is looking too many decades too far in the future. Before digital distribution becomes mainstream, 100 MB/s bandwidths need to be available for less than $40/ month. Even then, physical media will probably be as common place as it is right now. People have shown that they want to have a physical proof of

Are they demanding answers with bullet points if Eidos refuses their offer?

So at a time where people are trying to conserve their money, Sony instead of dropping, raises the prices? I guess Sony's business school is different from everybody else's. That strategy worked well on the PS3 as shown by PS3 vs Wii and 360 sales.

Sounds good. Me and my girlfriend can't wait to put our dirty hands on the shiny new LocoRoco 2 disc as soon as it comes out here.

This game needs less stealth and less snow, and more puzzles and more jungle. The subtitle needs to take a hike too. But yeah, this game will be one to watch for.

There's no way it's $6 per console. Unless they're counting all the development costs, overheads, business class flights, marketing, free wiimote condoms, etc and dividing it by price sold to dealer/retailer (which I'm pretty sure allows for far greater margins than $6 on the MSRP alone). More like $150+ per console

Good thing I got Spike HD. Can't stand seeing current gen games on SDTV feeds.

I'm pleased that this game doesn't disappoint. But the real question is, does it surpass Sands of Time in any way? Can't wait to find out.

While that is pure marketing genius, I think that tells us a lot about the Metro newspaper's credentials. Awesome marketing though. I need to get this issue ASAP.

It surely is refreshing to see a Jaffe post that doesn't use profanities :). Nice article all around.

It's probably that Wii Motor Sports game.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction for $31 shipped on Amazon. Also 2 extra Wii controllers for friends that were coming over.

@Maxyboy13: I actually find quite the opposite to be true. Limited edition box art is too plain and generic for me (also see Dead Space, Left 4 Dead). The regular cover art is colorful, fun, and fitting for the game. I'm still getting the LE for the other extras though...

The Edge article can be summarized as:

@sifujames: Once you pass the Bay Temple the game becomes exponentially better. I guess you might have spoiled yourself with the later events in the game, but if you haven't, trust me, any frustrations from the save system are well worth the final stages of the game.

@DragonYen: I agree with you, but looking at the state of third party games on Wii, I think Nintendo should have made a better environment to support them. Wii already gets its share of shovelware (thanks in a large part to Nintendo itself), now they can't even get a fix if a screw up like this happens. PS3/X360 has

Midway should just make these add-ons for online multiplayer and have them play at random. Most of them are just awesome. The Obama one is, uh, poor... and not needed.

I want to play that first person shooter Silent Hill game right now! They should have also mentioned what you need to do to get all 5 different endings, as well as a short description for the events on each one of them.

I think there won't be a future Zelda game that will ever surpass ALTTP in 2D or OOT in 3D due to nostalgia associated with the originals. Twilight Princess was probably the best Zelda game ever and people still find it boring due to it being too much like Ocarina of Time. That makes me think that in our unconscious

After struggling for 2 weeks with the Konami ID I gave up on MGSO. Too bad it was one of the few games I wanted to play online. I am waiting for a patch that will remove the broken Konami ID system before I ever give MGSO a second chance.
