Nice try Bethesda, but I am not totally buying this. It's more likely because the X360 version at this point in time looks and plays better than the PS3 one. That, and MS paying for exclusive content and showing off their console.

How about dropping the arcade all together Microsoft? $199 is still not on impulse buy territory especially with the current economy. Plus the educated buyer will see that the $299 Pro is a better proposition all together. Welcome to PS2 launch price territory 8 years later MS!

See, the purpose of the reviews for me have always come down to a buy-not buy decision. By having reviews that hit on time with the game releases, the reviewers are making us a favor by telling us whether it would be wise to spend over $60 + taxes for a new product on the shelf. I certainly don't need to spend more

The comments in this post are gold. LMFAO.

I would have bought it for Wii (I have the PS2 version) if I didn't have a huge backlog, little time, and the game lasted way less than 80 hours.

Oprah could open a religious sect and it would turn out to be the most successful money-making business ever (if it's not already).

I LOL'd at his comments about DMC. To this day, the original DMC had more soul than its sequels, even with the gameplay improvement later on (DMC3:SE). Bayonetta could turn out to be another PN03 so I will hold my judgment until we learn more about the game.

Good one, as always Pachter. I certainly don't expect any new "handheld device" from Nintendo before the end of the next year to say the least. Maybe a LiteR(tm) revision by TGS, but nothing more.

Guess that was it for PS3. It went back to its sleep status since like forever. Meanwhile X360 managed to convince a couple more hundred people to buy its console. That is 28 units a day throughout Japan. Good for them.

Considering that Itagaki barks more than all Japanese developers combined, I guess he is the weaker dog. Not only is Devil May Cry way better that any generic Ninja Gaiden game, but talking down on Okami is an insult to his own intellect. Then again a weaker dog is also less intelligent than the other dogs...

With my huge backlog and mixed previews for this game, I will wait and see until reviews hit first. I have downloaded the demo but never got around to play it. I blame Snake!

Anonymous blogs are more credible than Fox News.

Wow, they decreased 100% on Xbox, GCN, and GBA! What matter though, looks like their overall growth was actually only 4%.

My prediction is that Wii 2 will be 3 GCNs duck taped together instead of 2, have longer Wiimotes with both mic + speaker built in, include a digital camera on the sensor bar, and still be SD and use friend codes. To its credit, the games will look for the first time ever better than an Xbox 1. Coming out

Those DS numbers are frightening. Guess people are too busy to play at home as opposed to on-the-go nowadays.

Here's hoping PSP and PS3 will pick up some steam, primarily because I am tired of seeing Wii Play, Wii Fit, Carnival Games, and Brain Training constantly on the top 10, while games that are actually good don't have more than a week or two impact on sales charts (MGS4 for example).

Although I have bought almost as many Wii games as I did GCN games through its entire life span, GCN had some of the best games to ever grace a Nintendo console, such as Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, and F-Zero GX. Add a mix of third party games and the definitive version of Twilight Princess, the console brings

Looks like Scott Alexander described his own magazine's audience in a nutshell.

There was a rumor that PS3 version would have Kratos as an unlockable character. Anyone know if this is true?

Now it's time for a Zone of the Enders 3 or ZOE2 HD Remake.
