Unless there’s DRM that acts as a buffer to my ability to play the game, then no that’s effectively the same level of ownership as having a physical copy of the game. That’s the difference between GOG and Steam/Epic/Blizzard. I don’t have to worry about what happens with my games if the storefront collapses tomorrow.
