It baffles me that people don’t see Facebook needing to be brought to heel given their shrug attitude towards Myanmar.

Yeah that’s the issue here. It would come off as less because she genuinely complements his campaign this early on and more because he needs a human shield to defend himself from his weak points. Not to mention the issues in not being able to recruit a defeated rival if he does come out of the primary intact.
