Nobody is arguing for the charisma of Mike fucking Pence. You don’t need charisma to be a horrible person. Much less that he started an HIV outbreak and fucked with Planned Parenthood when he was governor of Indiana. You really want to argue for what he could do with the presidency and a Democratic Party that’s a lot

Thanks for putting that out there. As someone whose community also suffered from genocide, it’s frustrating watching peers in my community do that in turn to other disenfranchised minorities, so it’s heartening to see other people keep it 100.

Not gonna help the grays out here. But being accused of being anti-semitic despite being semitic myself is one of my favorite bits of irony in this hot little sphere we call home. Much less that the whole reason Angela Davis got dinged was precisely because of how hostile a reaction pro-BDS and anti-apartheid

Also I for one am shocked that Bari Weiss woud be able to completely tune out reality in order to get the result she wants to write about. It’s not as if this isn’t her entire shtick or anything.

You could’ve ended this with “Bari Weiss Knows Nothing” and still have an accurate title.

It’s because in the end the Democrats (the center right ones anyway) want to be friends with these shitty people.

Because we already have one of the most militarized borders on the continent and the fact it’s sorted at the southern border as opposed to Canada or our fly-ins from European countries is inherently racist?

Also Into the Spider-Verse was a masterpiece, regardless of genre glut. Take a nap Ham.

Look. I agree with you in part on the superhero glut. But you made the worst possible and reductive argument for it. Chill.

You really think Schumer hasn’t considered that?

Have your star you crazed bastard.

I for one am shocked lobbyists would cry the biggest crocodile tears about a paradigm shift that is dangerous to their bottom line.

I’m glad that Chuck Schumer once again empowered someone who’ll work overtime to apologize for this administration and undermine his own party. Great stratagem.

Not to be too much of a grinch, but most of my problems with the Miles book came down to Bendis’s writing. I enjoyed him in Champions, the Spider-Gwen crossover (which the murky age difference aside was an adorable ship crossover), and I’m enjoying him in the Ahmed run so far.

Right. I totally agree with you on that front. Spider-Men II was a letdown despite that being what should have been the peak conceptually for what bringing Miles over meant. And he did leave people waiting with bated breath for what turned out to be well... a non-answer. Writing your stories around the cliffhangers as

1) It works better in the movie because there’s a more tangibly drawn relationship and Aaron doesn’t immediately flip into threatening to murder Miles’s family like in the comics. That’s where things went off the rails. Dying to protect Miles as opposed to accidentally being exploded by his nephew is more powerful. He

They never called him by his full name, so it seems like the movie was more keenly aware of the... issues behind his name than Bendis himself. Either way, gross.

Which if we’re gonna be honest was either Bendis backpedaling because he realized he messed up like with killing off Rio, or because of the movie. Either way, his first go-around with Aaron was awful.

“Hide” what? That I’m not in support of people being gunned down and essentially left to die in an open-air prison by an unrepentant Apartheid state?

The Democrats would roll over and die if they had a whiff of any sense of normalcy. Trump’s saving grace is that he’s so overtly delusional and cruel that people know enough to turn against him. Pence? Same policies, but much nicer. I don’t want him a heartbeat away from the presidency let alone on it.
