Like I said, not really a Graphic Design anything, but it wasn't because she was on a different layer, it was just an assumption made considering both the lower resolution and weird lighting. It just looks like the artist was asked at the last second to put her in the picture and he rushed the cleanup.

I have a professional graphics monitor and it is definitely not visually indistinguishable, it's a shoddy job plain and simple. Put that on a Magazine and everyone will notice it.

First off, you have to remember they do this for a living, so the lower resolution of that layer probably annoyed them a lot more than it annoyed you.

How was Windows 8 a debacle? I think it's absolutely great and once I got used to the new interface, it was a pretty big improvement over previous versions.
