In certain countries, a rapist is forgiven the rape if he agrees to marry the victim. Which has essentially meant that victims are forced to marry a violent criminal. In the United States, this has always been held up as a travesty.

I love that there was a chance that a rapist would get a fat settlement for the child he forced into a woman’s womb. Who says we all can’t be millionaires in Merica?
