Narcissists can be extremely charming when they are charming someone. She may not have known how bad it was going to be when she married him. She may be realizing that there is no way out now that he is the most powerful man in the world, with no moral compass, no empathy, and the Russians behind him.

I saw that picture of the Obamas gently comforting and guiding her inside and it broke my heart a little! I am not a fan of Melania, and she clearly knew what she was getting herself into marrying him, but still... I noticed the exact same thing. They’re trained to kiss his ass, but I 100% believe they both hate him. There is not a person on the planet who could genuinely feel affection for that guy.

Came here to say the same thing. At the end you can see Melania giving side eye to Ivanka behind her. Melania knows what time it is.

People have noticed that the Cheeto left her behind when he entered the White House, abandoning her for the Obamas to guide gently inside.
