I work IT for the gov’t; wife works at home for a healthcare corporation. My son is 10 and attends a private school (mainly and only because a) it’s actually pretty affordable and b) the local schools SUCK lol). Wife and I are both pretty active in our church; I do side work for my son’s school; and there’s other

I probably heave a steamer at least 2x a day.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m all about preventing shady, predatory lending practices.

However, it is, at some point, incumbent upon the consumer to educate themselves and not make dumb decisions.

Meh.  They have the right to.  *shrug*

Step 1:

You don’t.  Give that kid a burger.

If you’re an adult, and you’re bad at laundry, then something is seriously wrong. I mean, come on:

1. (Optional) Separate whites from darks.
2. Throw in washer.
3. Give washer laundry soap.
4. Start it up (cold will work 99.9% of the time, unless we’re talking serious stains).
5. Move to dryer when done, run on low heat.
6.

Funny side story:

I work on an Army post; myself (veteran in Navy/Army Reserves) and a bunch of Soldiers and a former Airman or two (Air Force) were working together. The former AF guy had just been hired; and I was explaining where something was, using the standard Army terms.

He got exasperated and said “Maybe you

Shining Resonance Refrain.  Bought it and played maybe 10 minutes, said “Meh, this sucks” and returned it to the store for Octopath Traveler.

Sometimes - *sometimes* they make sense. In 2013 I purchased an F150. I didn’t pay a ton for it (got an XLT 5.0L 4x4, towing package, power everything, etc.) for $28.7K, down to $24K with a trade-in.

I went with a 72 month loan. Why?

1. I planned (and plan) on keeping it for at LEAST 10 to 12 years, if not much longer.
2.

In general, my son gets what we give him. LOL

With that said, of course I’m not sending him to school with rutabaga sammiches.  We make sure it’s fairly healthy (e..g, a sandwich, fruit, cheese, pretzels and a small snack), and of course we also ask him what he likes and will buy him what he likes within reason (e.g.,

Thank God I’m not the only one who thought “Uh...this picture is a Photoshop waiting to happen.”

A more valid argument is that we need more families included in different types of job positions located away from the coasts.”

I’ll apologize to a small degree, as this is the first “How I Parent” article that I forgot to post your point above. I’ve made that exact argument on pretty much every other ‘How I Parent’

I don’t have any ax to grind with people who choose to invest their money in a nanny. My overall point is that the VAST majority of people a) couldn’t afford a nanny if they wanted to and b) therefore can’t relate to articles about parenting where the vast majority of people featured use nannies.

Unless these articles

I get that; and I’m fine with that.  But many people also don’t have money to pay for nannies, or a 3-parent model, etc.  Which is why the majority of normal people simply parent on their own, and suck it up when it gets tough.

Even I hadn’t caught that yet - is there specific children planning software in existence?  (Or are we talking just software in general?)

OMG.

The first set of parents that actually parent on their own (with only help from family). No paid nannies, no ‘3-parent model’ or any of that nonsense. Just straight parenting and family.

Well, on the one hand, I can see part of the supposed allure; I think it’s half “This is how people who have ‘made’ it parent; maybe we can learn from them” and half “See? They’re normal people too, just like us.”

On the other hand...when literally ALL of them have nannies, friends who help ALL the time, etc., or (in

Give me a f#%#% break. The crowd held the guy while the lead singer beat him up. Cruise on over to SD’s page; the VAST majority of people posting there a) are long-time fans and b) are absolutely lambasting the guy for this.

I mean, if you go to a protest or a riot and get your @$$ kicked, that’s one thing.  I’ve been

Our cat’s name is ‘Grape.’ She also answers to

- Grapeity
- Fatness
- Fat Snuggles
- Snugglefats
- Snuggle Pussers

She does indeed come when called.

One obvious tip - buy for what you need. I’m in this boat right now - I have a 2013 F150 XLT 4x4. The majority of my driving is done on the road (90% or so) but I tow enough and go offroad enough (I live down a gnarly dirt/gravel road) that I’ve gotten several popped tires in the last year or two.

As such, I’m
