It’s a nice phone at $40 which is what I paid for mine a few months back. Just check out the thread on XDA about getting it to work on TMobile and ATT. I use mine on TMobile.

Not happy with my YouTube Music app. I used it once and now all my suggested videos are of bands I listened to or similar bands. I use YouTube for video content not music. Thanks Google. Deleted the YouTube Music app. Hopefully my YouTube suggested viewing will eventually get back to normal.

Mileage nuts with early VW TDI New Beetle swore that by adding a tail to the car would push the mpgs up to the mid 50s on their cars. Never owned a TDI Beetle so I can’t attest to it. TDICLUB had a lot of seriously smart engineers as members so it may have been true.

I don’t mind the occasional parking ticket if I was at fault. What I hate is that if you want to fight the ticket, you have to pay the fine upfront. and if you are found guilty they tack on the court fees. I also hate all the little processing fees they add. That $75 parking ticket ends up costing $90-125. At least

I went through a bunch of sampler packs. I found I like Feather the best, Astra and Derbys a close second. I didn’t like the idea of $28 for 100 pack of Feather blades when Derby were only $8, Derbys were my first 100 pack purchase. After I burned through them, this year I bought a 100 pack of Astras. Now that I am a

I beat the eggs and add a splash of water and beat until uniform. I have a small skillet and have a tight fitting lid for it. I get the skillet hot, lube with butter, back the flame to simmer/low and poor the eggs in and put the lid on. At about a min, I pull the sides away and lift up one side, if it immediately

I had a Z3 Dual Sim and loved it. But I am done with top end phones. In May I bought the 640XL Windows Phone and it does everything I need and has a pretty good camera for under $200. Its been almost three months and it’s still my daily drive and I enjoy it.

You can watch it the same way 90% of the Top Gear viewer watched it...download it.

Nope, my phone goes 36+ hours without a charge. Even when I had thirsty phones, the thought of just plugging some where never occurred to me, it just seemed wrong. Guess as a kid I had my hands slapped too many times for playing with things in a store.

Really, an article, I mean an ad, for scissors on a tech blog. Seriously?

Da. I’ve had several checks get cashed with last years date because I mistaken wrote the year after New Years. Had a fraudulent check go through with a signature now where close to mine. I even had an unsigned check go through once. Don’t trust banks to do anything in your favor. If you are going to be overdrawn, you

Now if we can only get an I7 Raspberrypi to go along with it.

I don’t get many tickets. In California, I consistently get renewals. I have only taken 1 driving test in 35 years. It’s weird, when I get a ticket, it’s usually right after a get my renewal and by the time I need a new license I have clean record.

I’ll hold off. I actually like W8.1 once tweaked. Ubuntu and OSx are what I use at home, Windows is just for those Windows apps I occasionally need.

Most of the time that we buy something expensive, it's not because there aren't cheaper options available. I tend to buy what I find to be quality gadgets because they're worth the cost to me. But there are always cheaper phones out there. As we've talked about before, even if you're broke, it may be worth spending

I use SyncThing. It provides essentially the same service but is open source, Bittorrent Sync is closed source. Both are easy to install, use and work well. I have used both on Ubuntu server, Windows7/8.1 and OSX. From Android I use Foldersync, I bought it years ago and has always worked well for and did not see

On my PC and Linux Machines, Chrome is working fine and still seems quick. On my Mac it has been hanging and crashing a lot. Especially with the last couple OSX updates. Even Safari seems a little more flakey than before.

Anything is better than NASCAR.

My Brother is an engineer too. It seems like rail companies prefer people that were in the military and also prefer to hire from within and from family. They like to hire from within and family because the hours are unpredictable and you can be working outside in truly crappy weather, family members know the life

I love Amazon but I still don't buy without checking around on other sites. I make sure to look at CamelCamelCamel to see what Amzon's pricing history has been. There have been many times that Amazon as been a few dollars more but I chose to buy from them because the shipping rates are cheaper, I can depend on their
