First off... it will buff right out.

@sardonicbastard: You would have to override the clutch switch to get a remote start to work but there is nothing you can do about a "neutral switch" especially on a mustang since the stick comes directly out of the top on a Tremec. I suppose if their ever could be one you would need some sort of internal switch like

No such thing as a "neutral safety" switch an a manual transmission car. Nor could anything like a "neutral safety" switch be installed anyway.

@dculberson: Besides the Mazda fairy and Garret gnomes bestowing you’re team with an orgy of unrealistically priced hardware…. The point is: If the car was for sale minus the safety equipment could you get more than 500 bucks for it as it sits (and not just because I beat it up with a hammer and spray paint)? If yes,

@dculberson: It's almost impossible. Since one guy works for Garret and the other guy for Mazda, is it unreasonable to assume that the kind of parts and prices they can receive can not be received by others no matter how hard they try? At what point does the market value of the parts trump how much you got them for?

@dculberson: You can look us up on facebook. I'd provide a link but I'm blocked from FB at the moment. Search for "Spring Hill Express Moonrunners (CHUMPCAR)". It's really REALLY hard to honestly keep it under $500 bucks, trust me. I suspect most mods are made to look like it's a shitty job. Face it; you can't SEE the

V8 swaps, turbos? What if I worked on the ZR1 project and happened to get a free LS9? What line do you draw between resourcefulness and flat out cheating? Lemons is clearly letting in cars that are worth more than $500, the race field is too large and the themes are turning into too much of a circus. This will be the

@Nurburgring: I agree that the rally fiesta is close to looking like an actual Fiesta (way more so than any NASCAR counterpart) but the truth is the the mechanics of the rally fiesta are sadly unrelated to any production hardware... unlike Subaru.

This looks strange and different; it's odd that Jalopnik did not make a bigger point of this. Most VVT engines manipulate the entire camshafts position right at it's drive sprocket. This however appears that there is a hydraulic port that is fed from a piston actuated by the camshaft on the adjacent side. The electro

Ignore the fact that is a 2 cylinder... The real story here is the valvetrain!!!!! It appears there is nothing mechanical driving the intake valve. The camshaft has been a mechanical barrier for IC engine efficiency forever. If this works.... this is HUGE.

@snapoversteer 'bout to get told: Yes...And the power point slide shows that they where lying about pedal entrapment. I'm not cranky, I'm just curious to what ends you will take to dilute the fact that 4 people are dead and you know some capacity there Toyota killed them. Stop politicizing peoples deaths, as if the

@snapoversteer 'bout to get told: You must have not heard the 911 call from the state trooper in his Toyota loaner car... The one where he is screaming for help and then 14 seconds later himself and his family burnt to death. What a hoot! But yeah... it's got everything to do with the UAW, government... fuck those

@snapoversteer 'bout to get told: Ok fine, you are 100% right. It's all an Obama conspiracy to protect the UAW just like when he did it for Ford/Firesto... oh wait... Clinton? Oh fuck, what was I talking about? Hold on let me get my aluminum foil hat.

@jbh11126: Quietly as roll over blown out tire death could ever be. I'm not sure if fire was involved though...
