Oh I totally agree there were some laws, but what I meant was is that it was all so nebulous and undefined. Probably because Eddings never really put that much thought into it. But I still thought it was a marvellous magic system. But are there better ones out there, sure.

Could be cool, I never read this series when I was younger, but my brother was heavily into it If I do recall.
