Kotaku, with their Human Rights and "not threatening women" agenda. What a bunch of a-holes. Black Ops II garnered death threats for changing details about the game, which Kotaku covered. Wait, did I say Kotaku? Oh man, I did. That's weird. Because you asserted the opposite of that, and I'm right.
What's the agenda? Bullet points, please.
Jesus, I'm sick of this shit. It's not just one person, and the use of, "you/people/etc." inclusive-pronouns should be very clearly interpreted as meaning, "the dickheads responsible for this shit," not regular gamers just trying to enjoy their hobby.
As the Bard once penned, methink thou dost protest too much.
"The game director from Black Ops 2 at its height got 1,000's of death threats a day. No one cared then."
Yeah, no one cares or talks about it. Other than Kotaku who ran a massive story on the death threats received by the Call of Duty director:
"Why is it only her?"
At least three women in as many months have been threatened so seriously they've had to leave their homes because of this shit.
She fled her home. She's not being smug at all, you are reading into it what doesn't exist. Hell, how can ANYONE be smug about facing death threats?! That just makes no sense!
Really? Did no one care then? Because it seems we wrote about that exact event more than once, along with others.
what is white privilege? asking for a white friend.
I think this particular thread demonstrates the ongoing unwillingness of white people to examine their own privilege.
Belaboring points are a big thing too, but you're clearly not tired of that yet ;)
Yeah, if you don't think racism is a thing...with respect to disease, population, land, and resource control...amongst many other issues...then I recommend...I dunno...google or something.
I just read your other comments. You say "hipster" and "brainwashed" a lot.
Not being allowed to treat women as chattel that they're entitled to fuck.
There are some good kids shows out there now: Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Adventures of Gumball, Phineas & Ferb, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe... all cartoons though. I can't think of a live action kids show that I've seen in the past decade or so that isn't horrendous. (I've got an 8 year old son)
If this is that difficult for them, then fucking hire some brown people and figure out how to write a decent Indian character.
Ren and Stimpy was fantastic, Korra is fantastic. One is a weird, boundary-pushing comedy, the other is a hyper-serialized, serious, anime-style story about politics and spirituality... they're apples and oranges. Just because this guy decided to inexplicably pit them against each other doesn't mean we have to.
I really don't think it's possible for anyone to be objective about the stuff they liked as a kid vs. comparable stuff today.
Default = White Male. Only change default settings in case of emergency! There's no REASON for anybody to be indian, female, or any of those other interchangeable "Ohh All Right We'll Issue A Token" diversity checkboxes that spoil alllll the fun.
