Yeah, HoloLens was introduced as a productive PC device first, gaming second. It will run programs, and Steam games, so I’m sure it will be totally worth it to have Minecraft added on top of that productivity. They’re just showing the gaming capabilities of HoloLens. Not some add-on to the Xbox like Kinect.
