I dare someone to google images “abortion.”

I support this article fully.

So your theory is that she’s XX, but she has testicles, has all the earmarks of an XY woman, and was treated in 2009 in a manner consistent with other XY women. And you got that all from an article that didn’t even tell you she had testicles.

There are literally a million articles that detail her genetic condition. No one has the test in their hands, but based on the 2009 response, everyone assumes that she is probably XY. It is not unusual for Olympic women athletes to later be found to be XY, so she’s not alone.

This article is garbage though.

Well said. A line has to be made somewhere. That line will never be perfect, and never black and white. But I would rather it be made fair for 99% of the competitors, than for the 1%.

Caster Semenya is not XX. She has a Y chromosome and undescended testicles that are pumping out testosterone. That’s the whole fucking point of the debate, yet it appears nowhere in this article.

This is a complicated and fraught topic, one that deserves a more thoughtful take than the one offered by Ms. Moskovitz. This is not about some cruel effort by men to define and control women’s bodies, as she glibly asserts. It’s about trying to create an environment where women have a chance to compete and succeed,

If we are going to hold two separate events for men and women, then we have to have some distinct dividing line between who is “a man” and who is “a woman.” It may not be fair to everyone, but you do have to draw a line somewhere.

It’s the testosterone.

I don’t think so. The upfront on this car alone dictates a payback period that is roughly twice as long as what you would see with a standard car. Then you have to factor in the longer charge times, which means missing out of fares if you don’t plan ahead. As to personal comfort, sure that is a benefit, but then again

This is not an average NYC taxi driver. Average taxi drivers don’t buy expensive Teslas.

Is anyone else questioning the purchase of a 70k car to use as a taxi? I understand the fuel savings, but to make up the initial investment he’d have to drive a lot of decent fares.

So...he was comparing a 2 year old $70,000 car’s maintenance frequency to that of an 8 year old, $25,000 car with 3.3x as many miles? And the shocking result is that it’s lower?
