I really like Dave Ramsey. I’m not religious and he sells a lot of crap, but I think his advice is great and his views are reasonable. Life is so much easier when you owe nothing to anyone. (Amost, still working on the mortage). I especially will never have another car payment.

Cars keep people living paycheck to paycheck. If you can’t write a check to buy it you can’t afford it.

This is just silly. For example, let’s say I can buy a car at 1% interest. If I have the money to pay for it, you will say it is bad debt, but if I can take that money and instead put it into an investment that is going to make 1.5% interest over time period of my loan, I am now making money on that money.

I agree. The overwhelming majority of people would be far better off having no debt. (Including zero percent interest loans). Most people who talk about debt as a tool, or how they could make more investing that money live paycheck to paycheck.

Trump never really denied that he wanted teachers to carry guns. He was complaining about semantics and extremely inarticulate. Focusing on ridiculous things like that cause people to glaze over the real issues.
