I agree it’s worth it to buy a home in the long run. You don’t need a credit score to do so though. There are still banks that do manual underwriting. I don’t agree that it’s a wise idea to keep a mortgage on your house so you can invest the money.

Credit scores are a far better indicator of responsibility than income. MANY people who make a lot of money are still irresponsible with it.

Instead of working so hard for a good credit score, people would be far better off putting that effort in to not borrowing money.
