I think we need Super Mario RPG characters. I realize Square probably owns the rights on them, but it’d be super awesome to get Geno or Mallow in Smash Bros.

Get hip to who’s their friend. Unfortunately, I’ve been forced to do just that by their attempted attention-whoring at me.

were you involved in the making of this movie? you seem randomly invested.

Pretty much!

I don't argue with people over the Internet. I will just suggest that you examine why you are so upset that someone brought up the fact that most movies distributed today, regardless of genre, tend to blatantly shut out people of color. You have a nice day.

The fact that a given movie isn’t intended as social commentary doesn’t prevent the movie from reflecting the society that made it. And I completely reject your premise that it is somehow incorrect to think deeply about certain movies (this also applies to songs, TV shows, books, etc).

Who cares if a single horror movie is about rich, white teenage girls having a party and they get killed off one by one?

That...was a lot. Maybe you’re the one who needs to “get over it.” Whatever the fuck that means.

Why is it that POC wanting representation in even the simplest things is so bad. It’s annoying and hurtful when people dismiss comments like Pro Club’s. As a black girl who grew up rarely seeing herself in anything, and who LOVES crappy Lifetime movies it would’ve been nice to see some representation. It’s easy to

Because there just aren't enough movies about the travails of beautiful white people…

Did you also write to Roger Ebert while he was alive and writing scathing reviews, asking him to make his own Good Movies if he wanted there to be more of them?

But Evan’s literal job is writing. Sure, everyone can make games, but that doesn’t mean that everyone HAS to. Does every film critic have to write and direct their own movies before they’re taken seriously? Does every music critic? No, because it’s understood that critique is in itself a different facet of those

....and it’s pretty much exactly what Narcisse thinks we need. The article isn’t just about that one topic, though. The problem with saying “well black people just need to make their own games” is that it implicitly ignores all the other issues he talks about and appears to give developers a pass for doing such a bad

So it’s literally Evan Narcisse’s personal responsibility to fix this problem?

He didn’t say that because he thinks it’s a stupid excuse. Read the article maybe, particularly the part above the Louis CK video.

Right, because it’s just that easy.

Your serious advice is trite and weightless. This comment was 100% expected, meaning it was written with this “thought” already understood.

As someone who is Black... brown, I somewhat agree. Just as I would make an in game character resemble me, another person would make the character resemble them or similar to what they imagine themselves.

He addressed this very argument in the article itself.

This article totally makes up for the rambling, bizarre, luddite Xbox setup one from when I was eating my breakfast this morning.
