He broke up with Kevin because he wasn't the chosen one, not because he felt guilty over Jon.

The think is: is Patrick's Mother being a Kevin, or is she being a Patrick, choosing a Richie over a Kevin at last?

Well, thinking about Doris: this episode was all about psicological transfert: Patrick and his sister, Patrick and his mother, Richie/Kevin and "the Widowed Doctor", Eddie and Frank and so on.

"Megan is a drama queen and super-judgy, just like my mother".

KFC, Clarion Inn… What I liked about this episode is that they showed the not-so-refined America, another aspect of the United States which is generally under-described by TV shows generally focusing on more glamorous aspects.
