I believe it is initially spying/Cold War shit, but then when they find something "on the other side," they decide to explore it. When she first heard the monster, everyone is confused.
He kinda tried that with the whole foot mission portion of it but couldn't separate himself enough from it, it felt like.
It's worth watching, I think. Can you stomach stuff like Terrance Malick? Because I think it was working in a mold more like "What if Terrance Malick tried sci-fi."

I still think the opening, wordless section of Wall-E is the bravest thing Pixar has ever done from a filmmaking standpoint.
GoT has had some great directors, but I don't think anyone has shot episodes as outright beautiful to look at as his.
I'm kind of glad the success of his HBO directing help him get film gigs again. The Descent was great.
