The From the Basement versions are much better.
The From the Basement versions are much better.
This weirdly reminds me of OK Computer but way more heavily orchestrated.
The first season opens with mysterious ice demons and wights attacking a group of Rangers north of a giant and ancient structure, and it ends with a silver-white haired girl, exiled heir to the throne, stepping into a pyre, remaining unburnt, and emerging with three dragons, the first in ages.
They also held a knife to his throat and told them they'd eat his parents. These wildlings sure were not good dudes for a bit there.
Agreed, and remember, this is Olly's view of the Wildlings: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
Because killing him likely changed him and also point his plot in the direction of the Lord of Light.
Mels' magic does work!
I think they were also pretty decimated and distracted. Jon's parlay with Mance in S4 happened because he knew they'd not survive another night.
We're still getting pissy about the book thing, huh.
Yeah, I still read people complaining about how confusing it is to keep track of all these characters, so.
I feel like they'll have her come right up to the point before jumping ship for some reason. Maybe she's given a contract that "Arya" can't bring herself to complete.
That's why I like it, honestly.
It's present in the Blu Ray "supplemental materials" and on the website, though, so it's odd that it's never been mentioned directly.
Didn't they cut right to the Iron Islands after that? Filmmaking 101 would say that's where he's going.
Tell em Ray, bye.
Nowadays, you want something, just stab the guy who has it.
So you don't have to wade through a lot more negative comments.
Yup. Watched it with a bunch of people who don't spend their time on websites like this, and they were all quite surprised. Even the ones who figured it would happen because storytelling figured it wouldn't occur until the end of this season.
It feels obvious, but I think it needs to happen. It'll allow Jon to prove himself as a leader in the North and regain his Stark name, plus really set the end game in motion.
Even if it wasn't book talk, the extras on the Blu Rays for, I think, season one explained this. They're worth watching!
