Don't hold your breath
I think we can give adaptations of novels the benefit of the doubt over something like Transformers 5 or Fantastic Beasts, which is based on a novel that only exists in another novel.
Jesus Christ why don't we just skip Wolves if you think that Waste Lands can occupy 1/2 of a theatrical film. That's the quintessential Dark Tower novel in terms of "We REALLY can't fuck up anything here, it sets the stage for the entire back half of the series!"
It's gonna start with an arid, lonely desert… then the first few notes of SmashMouth's "Walking on the Sun" begin to play on the soundtrack…
is that supposed to be sarcastic or sincere? Because if you're sincere than this is your first time visiting an Avclub thread on a Stephen King property.
Still better than most of the parenting displayed in the novel.
That would truly be a Scarlet Letter for a new generation.
guaranteed now that no material from the actual Gunslinger novel will be included beyond The Man in Black walking into a saloon. You could make an entire 95 minute film just out of the first chapter in Tull.
mostly because he made the first couple volumes so damn hard to find, limited edition pressings, etc… how do the sales figures for Wolves of the Calla look?
well, we were thinking maybe faithful to the first four volumes, and then the showrunners can do whatever the hell they want to end the series. That would be for the best.
Your friend may be a faux geek.
Wow, what a bunch of horseshit. This is what we get for complaining about long running times for other tentpole flicks…
oooh do tell. I thought the ending was the biggest weakness in that adaptation, as for some reason Michael Rooker disappears from the film until the last 30 seconds, and then just stands there, scratching his head. Felt like something was missing there.
What the hell? Are you serious? At what point does someone go from being of mixed heritage to "white?" is there a percentage that we can look up to confirm?
Have you actually READ any of the other threads?

Polanski is going to be the secret mastermind villain, cue lots of sausage jokes.
What are you talking about, the other guy has been posting paragraphs long screeds on how these movies are disgusting and IMMORAL, not even amoral. How is that not an invitation for debate? Or do you just agree with Souse Chef and you're practicing Internet Hypocrisy?
it's clear this person is a Born Again or something. Hard to take Joe Lieberman style liberals seriously these days.
