It's a weird thing. It's a song I'll defend, but I don't dispute that it's terrible. It's like a Friday the 13th movie: Complete crap, but sometimes complete crap has its place.

People who hate those songs instead of just being indifferent to them are textbook assholes. Just complete shit stains passing for humans. Not because they hate those songs per se, but there tends to be a lot of overlap between insufferable people and hating on popular "soft" music of yesteryear.
