Here’s the deal: pay as much as you do for a MacBook Pro on a PC laptop, and you’ll get a machine that lasts that long. Cheaper materials just plain don’t last as long. I have a laptop that is still working great from several years back.

Terminology is not wrong. :) The model I have gets it from 480p up to 540p. So definitely not HD, but beyond SD.

I’ve tried every open port on my computer. :( Occasionally the keyboard has started having the same issue through the same receiver. I’m going to try swapping the receivers out to make sure that it’s not just a bad receiver. I’m not hopeful, though... Amazon reviews on it show it’s a widespread problem.

Not a virtual machine, a virtual desktop. Virtual machine emulates an entirely new computer in your current one. Virtual desktops change your workspace, but it’s all on the same computer without emulation.
