Yep. It's still a little weird that she doesn't even want to try looking for her though.

I think that ship has sailed :(

I think they are referring to the whole Maggy the Frog scene. It's going to be important to set up one of the character's arcs this season, and there are rumors that a younger version of that character was cast.

CBS.

I agree. I think it would have been a much more interesting movie if they had kept the twist out entirely and made all the crazy conspiracy stuff true.

A lot of people were expecting her in the finale last year and were pretty vocal about their disappointment online. There was even more hope that she would be in the finale this year, which lead to more disappointment. If she doesn't show up next year either people are going to be upset for a third year in a row.

If she's truly cut, I wish the producers would just tell us. What benefit is there to stringing the fan base along so that they are disappointed every year?

I was afraid that everyone I was watching with wasn't going to be interested. As the episode started they all said that they didn't care about the wall, but the early stuff with Jon and especially Sam got them invested pretty quickly and once the battle started they were cheering and getting really into it.

It's gonna be 66 minutes, so 15 longer than last night. Can't wait!

Same here. And it didn't help me feel any better that everyone else in the room was cheering and high-fiving.

Yeah, that's a good point… if anyone wants spoilers they can just read the books or go on wikipedia so there's not as big of a need for secrecy.

Plus this episode is 15 minutes longer. I think this is a pretty good breakdown of what we will see so there should definitely be enough time for everything.

I wonder if she actually knows that Stoneheart will appear or is just guessing based on the books. I think a huge twist like that would only be in the scripts of the actors involved. The used to do something similar with the final scene of each Lost season to avoid leaks…

I would have like to see some of the mole's town lady whores who helped fight too. I was hoping the one who was picking on Gilly would escape with her, before she got a spear in the stomach last week…

He was wounded and then carried away, probably to get patched up. I'm guessing he didn't die or they would have shown it.

Neil Marshall gave an interview where he said the episode had 3 battles in it. Maybe Stannis' arrival was originally in the script and directed by Marshall but got pushed to the finale because of time constraints? It was probably easier to end this one on a cliffhanger and make the finale longer than this episode

The great thing about Blackwater was that it played out like a little movie. Setting it all in one location gave them the time to elevate a lot of the minor characters like The Hound, Lancel, Bronn, Shae, etc. so that we actually cared about them.

For Dany they will probably reveal that the dragons killed that one goat herder's child since they set it up earlier in the season. They could end on that or maybe even show them chaining the dragons as a result, assuming they have enough time/money.

Yeah it's a shame they haven't made the wall more interesting on the show. During the preview my wife said that she couldn't care less about that plotline, which made me sad because it's one of my favorite parts of the books :(

Pretty sure next week is going to be be completely focused on the battle at the Wall, like Blackwater was only King's Landing stuff in season 2. They even brought the same director back for the episode.
