I don't know, he's been standing by Tyrion's side since then and even encouraged Jamie to visit him this episode. I don't think he will betray him, or at least not in such a sneaky way. In the books doesn't he at least meet Tyrion face to face and give him the heads up that he's not going to be his champion? I think

They know how the books end, and the broad strokes of each character arc, so I think it's more them saying, "If Martin's not going to finish his series on time, fuck it, we'll reveal it on the show…"

I'm enjoying the changes because I don't think they will affect the overall story. They have to give Bran something more to do and I think this is more interesting for TV than just watching them scavenge for food all season.

I'm already bracing myself when they inevitably recast him next season.

Dany not going to Westeros yet is the only thing I am willing to hint at/spoil for non-book reader friends just to keep their expectations in check.

GRRM has provided future book information to the writers for when the show overtakes the books, so my interpretation was that this is the first case of book canon being revealed on the TV show.

The HBO synopsis sometimes confuses the White Walkers and wights too so I wouldn't trust it 100% until it's confirmed by one of the writers…

As a book reader, I think this was my favorite of the season. It had the vital book stuff that needed kept like Oathkeeper and SER POUNCE but still made a lot of fun changes with the Bran and Jon stuff to keep me guessing what will happen next and how it will fit back into the story.

The quote out of context is misleading. In the interview, he was clearly referring to the part of the scene with Tywin talking about what it takes to be a good king.

I think it would have been clearer if she wasn't yelling "no" the whole time.

In fairness, that quote from Alex Graves seemed to be referencing the beginning part of that scene with Charles Dance. Here's the full quote:

If you read the full interview, I think he was talking about the beginning part of that scene with Charles Dance. Here's the full quote:

I really wish we could still see downvotes.

He also writes down everything he remembers about raising dragons so that he can be of service to her, if I remember correctly…

I agree, we will have to wait before we can really judge the change. I think it could serve as a reason for Jamie to send Brienne to find Sansa. He didn't seem that interested in keeping his vow in the premiere, so maybe he sees that being around his family is causing him to slip back into being a shitty person (not

I thought in the books he stayed on with the farmer and worked for a couple of months before moving on.

All of the season 1 actors signed on for 6 seasons with the option to renew for a 7th, so if the show were to go on longer than 7 seasons HBO would have to renegotiate contracts with any remaining actors which could get pretty expensive. I think that's the biggest thing standing in the way of the show lasting longer

I've been rereading the series and grabbed the combined ebook for Feast/Dance and it's really great to read everything in chronological order. I didn't mind the split for my first read but I think it would have been really tedious the second time through.

Same here. When I went to his show last year it was probably 99% white people.

It's like a diary. There's only one copy and they just keep adding to it.
