You ain’t wrong. The world, though visually appealing, is flat, bland, and boring. I for sure had GTA5 expectations for at least a modicum of immersion, but none is what I got. I enjoyed some of the main character quests thoroughly(Goro was boring AF), and I absolutely loved the contrast between the various play areas

Players should just do what the police tell them and they won’t be shot.

I don’t believe they tested the skills with any players who tried to power through the game at higher WTs.

I can’t support the view that Outriders is remotely a cover based shooter, considering how ineffective cover is in this game.

Wait until it goes on sale.

Absofuckinlutely.

The arena construction is just terrible about half of the time. For a cover based loot-shooter, cover is terribly ineffective.

That’s the damned truth yo.

I don’t think so.  I imagine they never expected a client to not be able to connect, hah.

And he seems like a genuinely nice motherfucker, from all the random interviews and clips I’ve seen with him.

It’s still as much SP as you want. MP is entirely optional, and I’ve only run across another player maybe twice in all my hours of exploration.

Additionally, in this version you respawn as another civilian in a random location.

Yeah, it’s sarcasm.

I completely agree about being better with friends.  I solo’d the entire story upon release, and it was fine since there were always plenty of people available to fill the party every dungeon.  I wouldn’t want to do it now

Move up here to Alaska.  It’s almost as Red in that you get to keep all the guns you want, and the power comes back on after a major storm.

You’re stuck in the over-the-shoulder view, but you can zoom in/out with the mousewheel.

I’ve never seen a 1L water bottle with a warning against having sex with it.

Hah!  I caught the first, bad on me!

Did you see the /s?

Most game reviews on Kotaku are informative enough to allow me to feel as though I’m making a decision based on my future enjoyment rather than FOMO.
