Christ, how many commercial breaks do they need to go to? Like every damn 5 laps.

It is usually best to go with what it says in the car’s manual (sometimes it’s also printed on the inside of the gas filler door). The car manufacturer’s rating is for that specific car’s weight and weight distribution. Two very different cars could use the same tires, but they’d most likely have different ratings.

You do enough interviews you start to see patterns that show up early in the interview. It may not be “fair” but it’s the truth. But I always give the candidate the time allotted to turn it around, too. It has happened (although it is fairly rare).

Great write-up! I have guided a few friends through the car buying process and a lot of what is listed here is extremely common. I did have a few comments though:

The biggest problem with this report is that many of these airlines partner up. ExpressJet, the #1 offender, will often be the carrier for American, Delta, or United flights, but their numbers don’t hurt any of these brands. If I book a flight through Delta and one leg is a Delta flight and one line is an ExpressJet

I was in a fraternity in college, and you are absolutely correct. Not all Frats and Sororities are terrible. In fact, only about 75% of them are.

The crane didn’t drop the car on him, he was run over by the crane.

I won’t claim to speak for the judges, but it’s been my observation that if the car is shitty enough, they care less about your budget. If you build a car that can legitimately win, they’ll ding you even if your documentation is perfect showing that you only have $500 into it (but documentation might be the difference

Lying, creativity, and tons of beer from what I hear.

I sometimes wonder the way some people drive if they give those out for mental disabilities as well as physical.

Reports indicate that there is solar radiation EVERYWHERE.

It might be Nothing But Trouble, but at $1700, I’d risk a ride on Mr. Bonestripper. Nice Price.

On the face of it, and assuming the seller is totally legit about everything, it is a NP. Lets face it any runner under 2k is an automatic NP.

Indirectly, that’s part of the argument in the source material. Prior to 50 years ago, we generally let most fires burn which decreased flammable undergrowth in the forests. We have now started to suppress most fires which has resulted in 5 decades (or more) of tinder dry brush that catches fire instantly and spreads,

It’s essentially what the article/study linked to in the article is about. The article states that while global warming may be lengthening the fire season, the real cause of these major fires is related to land management practices and specifically the emphasis on total fire suppression (and a few other activities)

That is the correct shade of blue for that era of Chrysler engine. Here’s a Slant Six painted in it:

Who sent Dick, pics? This lady.

This. I’m the only idiot allowed to work on my car.

I don’t believe the World Hunger issue has ever been about not having enough land space for crops. It’s about nutrient availability (fertilizer) and water scarcity. Even if you effectively double, or triple, the output of every food crop plant around the world, the plant can only turn the available nutrients and

Completely Hamilton’s fault. His ambition outweighed his talent. You can make one move, which Rosberg did. Once Rosberg started making the move, the gap was gone before Hamilton ever got a nose in there. Why Hamilton didn’t back off and try to get to the outside was inexplicable. He seemed to be deadset on trying to
