You do enough interviews you start to see patterns that show up early in the interview. It may not be “fair” but it’s the truth. But I always give the candidate the time allotted to turn it around, too. It has happened (although it is fairly rare).

It's an eBay listing, the car comes with the engine, it's disassembled and in a box. Why do you keep insisting it's correct to say it doesn't come with an engine. I see what you're saying but you're incorrect. It's a project car in rough condition and comes with the engine in dozens tiny little boxes.
