Must be a big fan of PYST with the John Goodman cameo as King Ralph.

And The Godfather as one of the best? I mean I liked it okay in high school but c’mon.

I too was hoping for an ingenious whodunnit, then I saw Stephen King in the first episode credits.

It’s noticeable, if you know where Cherokee County is and noticed the strip club was called The Peach Crease.

Sorcerer - now there’s the movie I want to talk about. Halloween may have been the tension-filled beginning of an era, but Sorcerer was the tension-filled end of an era.

What? What about the Wizard of Oz?

I think I might prefer Lube Man to remain unexplained forever. That would make that tiny scene even better.

Another great review from Joelle Monique here. I recently encountered a near version of “you’re not black-black” in the wild and it was kind of astonishing to see in the context of the moment. Obviously it happens all the time and what would I know about it...I don’t know where I was going with this but I compliment

Honestly, I find at least 50% of long-takes to be too much of a wank (“Birdman” being the worst offender). But this really had meaning to it, it was additive to to the story instead of just showing off. The worst I’ll say is that it was a bit too cute to have so many revolving camera shots disappear William behind

Jesus, that was intense. So much information, I’m going to have to think about it for a while - but what a technical achievement, too.

Really great episode, and not least because it gave us so many answers. I love Tim Blake Nelson, and I hope the ending isn’t implying he’s about to get written off the show. Also, he’s just about the only person from this generation with something like a superpower.

The senator’s pun was a groaner, but the support

My point is that I don’t care about things like rules, I just loudly and constantly demand recognition of things that I like and therefore validation of my opinions, what else is new.

Bunches of shows on this list were on the air years before 2010.

Jeremy Irons fishing out and tossing fetuses back in the pond is probably one of the more disturbing things on TV this year.

I only know one woman who doesn't like this movie, and I'm pretty sure it's because she's the Helen of her group.

Helluva performance from Jean Smart. Obviously, the thermos-sized blue sex toy is the best spot of comedy.

Just here to say I appreciate the username.

I don’t know where beloved Av Club commenter Hooded Justice is today, but I expect he’s happy.

Wellsir, it is fiction.

Seems like a good idea for patrol cops to have to radio in before having access to a gun.
