I guess we can't communicate with Dan until he comes back on to comment again. But on the off-chance he's reading, you've got quite a following of concerned citizens. Let us know you're okay.
And thanks for opening up, weeping gorila.

Hey Dan, come back and let us know you're okay.
Get through tonight.

Would I want to kill myself with all that shit going on?
I have wanted to kill myself, with nowhere near as much shit.
I sympathize as much as anyone who doesn't suffer from your disease can, and would never say anything to belittle your pain.
You say you've lived with this for 18 years? What coping mechanisms have you

I'll admit, I don't know much about schizophrenia. I've struggled with depression, but I know it's not the same.
But you still have a voice, you still have agency. You can scream back at the pile of shit.
Hell, just scream at us for a while. Stay for a little while.

Where did you move from?

It's not time to go. It's never really time to go.
Murakami has a new novel coming out.
Don't you want to see the new X-Men movie?
Cross and Odenkirk have a new show now.
I know none of these things seem to have much value now, comparatively speaking. But they add up, all the little things add up. And there will be new

Billy's kind of a dick, though.

Absolutely agree. I almost missed this, and it is arguably the best installment of the AV Club's best feature.
Great work. Is there an audio recording of this interview?

The idea of lesbian Bond could work, but… Stewart? Really? You would be hard pressed to find a working actor with less charisma.
Alexander Siddig is also a good idea. An underused talent, he can be charming, suave and cold all in one take. His uncle would make a good villain as well.

Do you have any idea how uncommon it is to read people accepting criticism, and rationally responding to that criticism?
To be honest, when I read your first post, that set off the wave of responses, I thought you were an asshole. But having read your responses, you are not only NOT an asshole, but a pretty cool dude,

I agree with the 'strangely compelling' part. It's a mess, somehow both hollow and overstuffed, but it was a beautiful mess.

I have friends who insist that King is a great writer. They have, over the years, foisted many of his books and stories upon me, and I have tried to read them with an open mind, but I find his writing (all of it - I haven't found an exception) to be cliched, hackneyed, self-indulgent and pedestrian.
(Yes, I'm aware of

Next! Who's next?!

I just posted elsewhere that I really should give that movie another viewing.
Maybe I was just expecting it to be crap, and was projecting. In hindsight, there were a lot of fun performances and moments in that film.

Yeah, that's true.
You know, now I'm thinking I should re-visit that movie. Maybe the sum of its parts isn't a masterpiece, but all those parts are a lot of fun.

Yes, and Murray. Present!

I also like Josh Brolin's sort-of Tommy Lee Jones imitation.
That shitty film had two excellent performances, and still couldn't rise above its own crappiness.

I'm a little Marvelled out, or at least I was. You won me back with Taika Waititi.
And fuck yes Jemaine had better be in it.

I was told there would be no math…

Yeah, I heard rumours, and had a feeling that there would be, but I was hoping that, for once, filmmakers would leave well enough alone.
