I completely agree. I could make another comment but you summed it up. There is a place for controllers and a place for keyboard and mouse and everything else is just specialty.

The other thing people forget (or never knew because they played “old school” games via emulators) is that old televisions actually smoothed the thatchwork out like some kind of passive AA.

agreed, here is a reference.

Agreed, not to mention that arcade games in the 90s looked far, far, better than that, with brighter colors, larger sprites and smoother edges.

God, how I loved the Super Star Wars games.

Agreed. I’m sick of people constantly saying “8bit” without even bothering to study the actual art style.

It’d be a cool throwback to the original if they did. The Sand People acted as an NPC third faction in one of the Tatooine maps in Battlefront ‘04.

You unlock them by running over the symbols you find on the battlefield and then activating card 4. Same as using imploder grenades or setting up blaster cannons. Only one special power-up (Card 4) at a time.

Ever since I saw that in theaters on the week of its release I have been waiting to see that moment in GIF form; lo, it has appeared —- the day has come!

It turned me into a gamer for life. The audio/visual jump was gobsmacking as was the level design that took you in all four directions while presenting a plethora of paths and secrets.

+1 love mine

Oh yes definitely remember having to create boot disks to get games to run, also remember having to edit autoexe batch files and config.sys files in order to get games to work.

I had one with 631K, EMS, Sound, CD-ROM, and Mouse loaded.

Same here... only I spent my first five hours thinking DH was Roach and trying to make him gallop with the wrong buttons. Damn you, Witcher!

I only tried GZ with my 660m (yep, an asus laptop with an i7) and since it didn’t matter as much to me, I bumped it down to 900p to get a great framerate with almost every graphic option at the top or near it. Maybe try that? As I recall there were even resolutions in between 900 and 1080, and your card is better than
