I keep hearing this “plot points tossed aside”. I’ve seen the Force Awakens about 6 times, and watched Last Jedi last night. I can’t think of any that were “tossed aside”, what I did see is that several things people thought were very important were actually irrelevant.

I get presenting both sides, but this entire article reads like a warning. The “negative” examples of raiding cited are mostly 2yrs+ old. It seems clear from my experience that the community has taken something created for negative intent and made it a positive instead.
