I’ve never been interested in renting so I never did it. Friends at university did, I stayed at home (was lucky enough to live near a prestigious university) and drove in. You just don’t have anything to show for it after all that time and is just a waste of money. The property you rent isn’t yours, you’re just

Creepy as hell!

Not necessarily bad, high ISO can have an artistic benefit. Works better with black and white images mind you.

Someone else recommended a Wii style setup! It does sound good. My only concern is the limited buttons with that. You’re going to have to reach over to the keyboard too and that just breaks it for me (I stick to one device whilst playing a game lol)

Possible, though uncomfy. Maybe it’s time to invest in a one-handed controller.

Loved that setup for Metroid Prime on the Wii U. Will try this actually! Does sound good.

That person was wrong on the pricing of some of those components, or even outright lied. To play something like GTAV, or rather, to have PS4 quality graphics (which is GTAV on PC running on high-Ultra settings) you’re going to have to add a few hundred more dollars to that price. To get it running flawless at 60fps on

That GPU costs more than that. Looking up on my usual sites it’s £200 ($300).

Absolutely hilarious :) would pay to see that. I’m all for immersion and keeping to one, considering how frequent you get in and out of cars on GTA.

I guess you haven’t seen the videos comparing various PC settings. PS4 has water, reflections and textures on Ultra. Shaders and PostFX on Very High. Tessellation on High.

Switching control schemes mid-game, in a game where you constantly run about switching between walking and driving (or flying). Seems nuts. How can that be a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

The state of US policing at the moment, this needs to happen. Jesus needs to come back and punchsplode them into oblivion.

Please don’t talk to me if you’re uneducated.

Tapping them just seems like a poor thing to do. I’ve put about 30 days worth of play onto the PS4 version, if I can emulate the PS4 controller *perfectly* on PC then I’ll be tempted to switch to that (maybe, PS4’s resume play and remote play make me consider that more).

Same. I haven’t picked any as such, but I do find myself playing on console more. Because;

The PS4 version has graphics that fall between High (tesellation, shadows) and Ultra (post FX, Shaders, textures, water, reflections). That’s holding up. Even on my top-end workstation PC with only a few month old hardware runs the game on Ultra and doesn’t always hit 60fps and falls between 40-60fps (higher if in the

Not really. This thread is full of people making compromises with one or the other because the general consensus is driving is best with a controller.

Yes, I know this (why are my fellow PC master race people so dumb?).

Switching between two seems hugely cumbersome.

Yeah, he’s lying don’t worry about it. PC is my platform and you can’t build a PC that will play GTAV better than a PS4 for that much. You’re looking at the price of a PS4 for the video card alone. Then cross your fingers you can get it running at 1080p60 on very high.
