Not weird at all. It lets developers focus on one platform so it becomes the best it can possibly be. I have zero intention of ever buying an Xbox 1.

Current best game of this generation. Incredible game! Really glad it’s on PS4 only so I can play it.
Nope, because keys/platformIDs need to be generated. As someone else pointed out if any game is going to burn through ID’s it will be something like Earthbound.
Exactly, they’re trying to recruit people to their ideology and not what’s best for the company who is actually making their games.
No I know the situation with Nintendo and Youtube. I just don’t know or care who this person is. I’ve never seen a “Youtube personality” I like. For, I imagine, similar reasons I don’t go all gooey eyed over TV presenters. I’m more interested in the product - not the personality.
Yup.
MVP!
With an Asian name like “Kotaku”?
What point? Going through your post again even after I had forgotten what we were talking about, it’s just you telling me to play games from a region that I can’t either play physically (region locked hardware) or I don’t understand the language.
Yup, we know that if you dig a little deeper. However there’s no clue to a light reader that this is a US operated site, considering its Asian influenced name. Maybe due to its regional dexterity and ambiguousness they should include regions in headlines when necessary? I dunno, I see other sites doing it.
Why’s that? Someone (2K?) “ran out” of Steam keys for Prey too, so they took it down.
The 3DS Streetpass games have weird names in the US (Japan and EU share the same names). Streetpass Quest is called *gulp* “Find Mii” in America, for no real reason. It sounds awful compared to the real name.
There you go, this is also a valid option you can take - just say “you don’t understaaaaand” and then storm off. If you’re unable to engage in discussion maybe you shouldn’t be in the comments sections. Especially when one gets so mangled up in their heads that they call anyone not buying a game because of good…
Kotaku is a global site. If anything the title indicates it’s Asian-ran. Come to think of it...
Nope, you’re just doing that weird “let’s jump on exaggerations” thing someone else did.
As a creative myself I’m happy with Nintendo’s current plan. There are people who don’t buy games, instead watch them. Maybe us developers should also sell licenses where people are free to broadcast.
Do you call TV presenters “creative”? They’re just presenters. That’s it. Creative is such a huge leap that you can start labelling anyone as creative like builders, taxi drivers. Usually it’s just the arts.
Genuinely have no idea who he is. I have heard of Nintendo, however. I guess I’ll stick with Nintendo.
Wait what assumption did I make? Making assumptions isn’t bigoted. You might need to research this.
What extreme am I jumping to? You were demonstrably exaggerating.
