They’re going for a grounded take on the characters. I think thats a smart and interesting movie. What bothers me are the character proportions and the terrible terrible hair choices for literally everyone.

I think Hamill’s laugh is now The Laugh. When I saw the Dark Knight trailer for the first time, and heard Heath Ledger nail *that* laugh, I knew all would be well. Ledger’s performance is certainly not a copy cat, but some things you just don’t fuck with.

Um The Scarecrow, and Bane’s redesigns were greatly improved.

Mark Hamill was fun as The Trickster on The Flash, too. Hopefully they find a way to use him again. It was fun seeing him last season briefly on Earth-3 as I think an amalgamation of The Trickster & The Joker.

And he went on to be the best Joker yet. He nailed that perfect mix of clownish buffoonery and genuine menace that made the Joker such a compelling villain.
