Yeah, Al isn't known for musical improv, and improv is part of the whole CBB deal.

It tends to be the general opinion. I know I remember someone in character on the podcast saying that they prefered the TV show and Scott saying something like, "then you're the opposite of everyone else".

That's why I've been avoiding all the tracks he's been previewing. I want to get it as a cohesive whole.

I'd say that MBDTF's has his best beats, but College Dropout has his best lyrics.

I know so little about anything related to Kanye's personal life that my first instinct upon seeing "Kylie was here" was to assume that Kanye collaborated with Kylie Minogue on a track. Imagine my disappointment.

This article doesn't even mention the fact that this was made by the same guys who directed the "Turn Down For What" video. Which would, at least, explain the boner.

Is there any jam band that was as artistically successful as the Allman Brothers? None of the others I can think of ever really had much going on in the songwriting department. They're the only band I'll throw on if I specifically want a jam band sound.

"Jessica" is as brilliant is everyone here has said, but let's take a moment to appreciate how brilliant "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" is. One of the great instrumentals in rock music.

This is still my favorite song of 2015. It's so fucking perfect.

For a long time, "John, I'm Only Dancing" was my favorite Bowie song. It's a perfect encapsulation of that period of Bowie.

Agreed on "We Prick You". I was just listening to some of Outside for the first time in years thanks to this list and realizing how good some of it is and that song stood out to me in a big way.

Heathen reminds me a lot of Scary Monsters. For better and for worse, it's not trying any specific experiment in sound or structure. It's just Bowie working hard on a bunch of songs and putting them out there.

Since it's come out, I've listened to The Next Day less and less, but I listen to "(You Will) Set the World on Fire" all the goddamn time.

Lists of "underappreciated" songs are always a crapshoot, because something could be left off either because it's not worth mentioning or it's too popular to be underappreciated.

"Time" is worth it just for Mick Ronson out Brian May-ing Brian May.

It's so weird to think of "Station to Station" as a deep cut, because I've always considered the album to be one of his very best, if not the best. In fact, one of the reasons that I'm enjoying Blackstar as much as I am is that it reminds me of StS.

I was gonna post a comment about how she should put out a solo album, only to find out that she did last July and I (and the world) had long since forgotten about it.

Is Rock Band/Guitar Hero too much of a cheat?

I'm with Scott. This was my favorite of the many ridiculous quotes and catchphrases to come out of the best ofs.

Are those muppets gonna fuck Khalessi?!
