I believe she said that the guy who made it owed her a favor. I suspect that at least half the businesses in Pawnee owe Leslie for something or other and she cashes in on that come time for big, expensive gifts, making her something like a selfless, positive-thinking mafia don.

As someone who relates to Ben Wyatt a lot, I never related to him more than when he had his budget freakout in this episode.

I know that I'm not a child and I shouldn't find people just shouting to be funny, but I really find Billy Eichner shouting to be funny. It works better in Billy on the Street than it does on Parks, though.

They're people who are only divisible by themselves and one.

But does it, though? I keep hearing it like "Caz", which would be one s.

For what it's worth, the word from the rumor mill is that the Master is supposed to be the villain of series 8.

Dance's name is the name that I keep hearing connected with the Master's name and I really would love it if that came to pass.

I dunno, that sounds EXACTLY like something Craig Ferguson would do.

I was so-so on this episode as a whole, but damn if that isn't suddenly one of my favorite Andy Dwyer lines of all time. It was "network connectivity problems" good.

I love this thread for reminding me how much mythology the show has built up over the years. That's probably what I'll miss the most.

I thought so! That's for what I get for trusting the tardis wikia.

I actually like both of those introductions though. We've seen "companion runs into Doctor in adventure and tags along" tons of times. Mel and Ace's introductions were unique and clever. However Mel and Ace are perfect examples of how a clever introduction only gets you so far, seeing as how Mel is pretty horrid while

Plus, he wasn't really good at selling that there was a fierce intellect behind all the bluster and garishness. At worst, there's something sort of Ted Baxterish about his Doctor.

I actually really rather like Mawdryn Undead, if for no other reason that I love whenever the Brig shows up and I like it when the show does actual time travel plots.

For some reason, I thought the time storm was something that Fenric had done, but a quick investigation tells me that Ace caused it.

I don't know if I want to go back to a world where The Daily Show isn't followed by The Colbert Report.

It doesn't get talked about as much, but "Dinner Party" is also a great episode for Jenna Fischer. I love her delivery of "I know Jan didn't poison the food. I know that. But if she was going to poison the food of someone at that table, wouldn't it be me? Michael's former lover?"

Watching the first half of the episode, I was CONVINCED that this was what was going to happen. Because I was certain that they wouldn't do anything so stupid as return to Robin and Ted again.

All ones that I really like, too. I wish we could have gotten more Liz Shaw.

I can forgive the ending of "Hide" seeing as it doesn't affect the climax and works thematically with the rest of the story, especially when the rest of it is so chock full of funny lines, clever ideas and great characterization.
